For children who are registered as regular patients at our clinic, we perform a free abdominal ultrasound and handover images acquired by the exam during the 7-month checkup. By using abdominal ultrasound, we visually assess the internal conditions of the abdomen and ensure there are no issues such as constipation, organ abnormalities and intussusception.
Blood tests are offered at our clinic. “Pain” is the word you would come up with when hearing the term “blood tests”. However, we have introduced machines capable of conducting tests with a single, fairly painless prick from fingertips. We prioritize creating a comfortable environment with minimal pain for children undergoing any tests.
At our clinic, we conduct urinalysis.Performing urinalysis allows for the early detection of diseases and provides a significant advantage in quickly determining whether surgery or hospitalization is necessary.
Influenza requires early detection and treatment. At our clinic, we have three highly sensitive influenza detection devices making diagnosis possible as early as 4 hours after the onset of fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius.
Early detection and treatment are crucial for children with amblyopia. However, performing vision tests on children is extremely challenging.
The Spot Vision Screener is an ocular screening devise designed to help quickly and easily detect amblyopia vision issues on patients as young as 6 months. The results are available within seconds. We use the Spot Vision Screener for visual examinations during 1-year checkup.
This device is used to measure blood oxygen concentration. It is used to assess the severity of breathing in respiratory diseases such as pneumonia.
This machine converts medication into a mist to deliver it to hard-to-reach areas such as the bronchi, lungs and deep within the nose. It is used for treating asthma and bronchitis.
We have two inhalers installed within the clinic and three portable inhalers for rental service. For those who are worried of worsening symptoms during the night time or over the weekend, we will rent the inhaler upon request. Please note the number of inhaler is limited. If you wish to purchase one, please let the staff know. We will be glad to assist you.
Sucking out nasal discharge using nasal aspirator is very important because children cannot blow their nose effectively. Untreated nasal discharge can lead to worsening of viral and/or bacterial infections.
We use nasal aspirator to clear the nasal passage so that children can breathe easier and live a healthier life.
For the prevention of healthcare-acquired infection, we have placed disinfectants throughout the clinic which are effective against viruses and bacteria that cannot be sterilized by alcohol disinfectants such as Norovirus, Influenza, MRSA, fungi, and various food poisoning bacteria.
The ingredients of these disinfectants are also used in food additives, making them safe even if ingested accidentally. They are also gentle on the skin. We have isolation room so that children visiting our clinic for vaccination and/or health checkup are not exposed to patients with infectious diseases such as influenza, chicken pox, rubella, etc.
For hygiene purposes, we provide warm towels infused with disinfectant.
These towels are used, for instance, when wiping off the gel from ultrasound examinations. Children can be sensitive to stimuli and might react to even minor things like cold sensations on the skin, potentially leading to vomiting. We believe that a warm, moist towel might be more comfortable for children in such situations compared to tissue paper.
If needed, please feel free to request them at the reception.
In addition to regular toilets, we have installed toilets and sink specifically designed for children. We make sure that the water temperature is not too high. We have also provided baby chairs and diaper-changing stations so that mothers can use the restroom comfortably. For hygienic and odor-free disposal of used diapers, we have designated diaper disposal bins.
We offer private nursing room to ensure that mothers breastfeed their babies in comfort.
By being able to provide cold and hot water (approximately 90℃), the water dispenser is available for drinking and preparing formula for babies. The hot water dispenser is locked to prevent easy access by children. Please take extra caution when using hot water.
